Title
Fortune: A drama series for English language learners
Language
English
Date
2017
Description
Fortune is a ground-breaking concept in English language learning and teaching that uses dramatic sequences with modified linguistic features to create an engaging drama series across two levels of language proficiency.
Viewers are given the option with each new episode to choose the level of English language that best suits their learning needs. Fortune follows the same narrative template across two levels with one key distinction – ESL/EFL professionals (English as a Second Language/English as a Foreign Language) work alongside the scriptwriters to modify the linguistic structures within each episode to make the story accessible as well as purposeful in an educational context.
The series will be produced by an award-winning film-making team supported by highly qualified TESOL education professionals with extensive knowledge of the English language teaching and learning landscape.
Each of the six episodes in Season One will run for 5-7 minutes and there will be a range of teaching and learning materials available, either for use in the language classroom or for individual learners.
