Description
The project aims to enhance the access, participation and learning performance of  deaf/hearing impaired Syrian migrants. The on-line dictionary "Spread the Sign" (spreadthesign.com) will be translated into the Arabic sign language thus giving the opportunity to deaf migrants from Syria to learn the sign language and written language of their new host country. This will enable them to interact with the local deaf and hearing population and increase their opportunities for social inclusion and integration to the local society. In addition, Greek, Cypriot and Bulgarian sign languages will be added as these neighbouring countries to Syria and Turkey are in great need to support appropriately the deaf/hearing impaired Syrian migrants that reach their countries.
